say nothing, ,nothing
say nothing, , nothing for string quartet was written for and premiered by the Walden Players in July 2006. This work is officially my Opus 1 (not including the playful song written at the age of five titled “Mommy Beat the Bookcase”, which recounts how my mother succeeded in following the directions for building an Ikea bookcase). While there are no doubt numerous changes I would now make to this piece, it is always interesting to see what parts have managed to stay with me. Open string colors and glissandi are still features I find in my music today.
